CliniKids is a not-for-profit centre integrating world-class research with a clinical service for children with developmental delay and/or an autism diagnosis, and their families. It is the first of its kind for autism in Australia.
One of the unique aspects of CliniKids is the integration of clinical services with cutting-edge research. Our exceptional team of researchers work in collaboration with our clinicians to give the community access to the world's best evidence-based therapies.
Congratulations to CliniKids Director Professor Andrew Whitehouse on his recent nomination for WA's Australian of the Year Award.
Andrew was recognised for commitment and transformative work which has resulted in Australians living with autism receiving better, safe and more effective therapies.
“Thank you for all of your very kind messages about being a finalist for the WA Australian of the Year,” Andrew said.
“Every bit of recognition goes to the extraordinary team I'm lucky enough to work with, and the kids and families who let us into their lives and share their joys, laughs, tears, and triumphs – what a privilege that is!
While I didn’t take home the gong, we will keep finding ways to highlight your stories, and to help autistic children and their families thrive.”
