This series aims to provide some practical and evidence-based ideas to support your child and family. Each post will be written by an experienced member of our clinical team including Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Clinical Psychologists. We will be covering a range of topics including:
How to support your child’s communication
How to build emotional regulation skills for your child and family
How to use daily routines to support your child’s development
The importance of support for parents and carers
Evidence based early intervention: How to find what fits your family
Our goal is to support you in finding ways to connect with your child and build on their social communication and emotional regulation skills during daily activities. We will be using a model called SCERTS to think about supports for your child’s communication level. Each week we will be covering a different topic and providing suggestions on strategies and supports based on your child’s SCERTS communication stage.
If you have any topics you would like for our clinical team to address in future, please email us.
